I pray that you had a blessed Thanksgiving! We are halfway through the 2nd quarter already. Progress reports will be sent home with your child on Friday.

The memory schedule for this week is as follows:
Thurs. 8th Comm., Is. 41:10
Fri. Hymn 2: 1-3

This week we are working on spelling unit 14. The pretest is on Monday and the final test is on Friday. There is a math and science test on Monday. There will be an English test on Wednesday. We will be finishing Where the Red Fern Grows next week and taking a test. We will also be watching the movie based on the book. With the Christmas program just around the corner we will be spending some extra time practicing the recitations and songs during the school day.

School dismisses at noon this Friday for Teacher Collaboration Day. There will be no hot lunch, but homeroom will be open from noon-6:00 PM.

If you have not done so, please remember to return the field trip slip and $12.50 fee by Friday, December 4. I still have room for 3 chaperones.

The students in Jr. Choir and I will be going Christmas caroling at Vasona Creek Healthcare Center this Wednesday from 1:00-3:00 PM. Mr. Fillner and Mr. Washburn will be spending the afternoon with the 5th grade students not in Jr. Choir.

The Children’s Christmas Program is Saturday, December 19 at 5:30 and 7:00 PM. The students will be participating at both of these times.

The 5th grade will be having the class Christmas party on the afternoon of Thurs., Dec. 17. The students will exchange gifts among each other. We will not exchange names but will play a game to distribute the gifts. Please be sure to label whom the gift is from so the students can thank each other. The girls should bring a gift for a girl and the boys should bring a gift for a boy. Please keep gifts in the range of $5-$7. We will have snacks and food items at lunch for our party. Students will not need to pack a separate lunch or order hot lunch for that day. Please let me know if you are willing to bring a food item to share with the class. Thanks!

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Have a wonderful week!
