This week we are taking the Terra Nova standardized tests. Thanks in advance for having your child at school on time so that we can follow the testing schedule. There will be no piano or instrumental lessons this week due to the testing! Lessons will resume the following week.

Due to the testing this week the class schedule and homework assignments will be lighter. Students are allowed to work on the assigned test and check their work on that test during the allotted time. Each child will also have a book to read should they finish the testing early.

A new memory calendar for the month of October was sent home on Monday. Please be sure to post the calendar and refer to it daily. Let me know if you would like an extra calendar for you and your child! This week’s memory schedule is as follows:
Tues.: 3rd Comm., Prov. 3:5
Wed.: Books of the Bible (NT)
Thurs.: Luke 10:16, Ps. 50:15
Fri.: Hymn 573: 1-2

The students will take the unit 6 spelling test on Friday. There will also be a math test on Friday. The realistic fiction book report is due this Friday, October 2! The social studies ‘states and capitals’ quiz will be next Tuesday.

Progress reports will be sent home on Tuesday. There will be a drop-in parent teacher conference this Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM. Please feel free to stop in the classroom and talk with me.

October book order forms were sent home on Monday. Please return all order forms and payment to Miss Tjernagel by Monday, October 5!

There are a few Keeping Our Children Safe classes that are still being offered. All school parents do need to take this class. Thanks!
