‘Happy Fall’ to you! I love the cooler weather and color changes that come with fall. Things in this life change often; how happy and blessed we are to know that our God will never change!
Next week the students will be taking the Terra Nova standardized tests. Please make sure that your child is at school promptly in order to stay on the testing schedule. It would be best to schedule any dr., dentist, or other appointments after 3:00 for that week. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation! There will be no piano or instrumental lessons during testing week. Lessons will resume the week of October 5.
This week’s memory schedule is as follows:
Tues.: Matt. 7:15, Is. 43:11
Wed.: Books of Bible (Old Testament)
Thurs.: Ps. 50:15, Ps. 37:5, Heb. 11:1
Fri.: Hymn 304: 1-2
The students took their first English test on Monday and they will take the unit 5 spelling test on Friday. There will be no math test this week. The realistic fiction book report is due by Friday, October 2.
October milk slips came home on Monday. All slips and payment need to be returned by Fri., Sept. 25.
Parent volunteer forms for classroom help were sent home on Monday. If you are willing and able to help please return the slip by this Friday – thanks!
School dismisses at 12:00 noon this Friday for Teacher Collaboration Day. Homeroom is open from noon-6:00 PM. There will be no hot lunch on Friday.
The mid-term is this Friday. Progress reports will be sent home with each student. There will be an open-house parent/teacher conference night on Tues., Sept. 29 from 5:00-7:00 PM. I hope you will stop in and see the classroom and talk to me!
Have a great last full week of September!
