This week we are working on spelling unit 14. The pretest is on Monday and the final test is on Friday. There is a math test this Wednesday. We are having a reading test on Where the Red Fern Grows this Wednesday. At the end of the week we will be watching the movie based on the book. With the Christmas program just around the corner we will be spending some extra time practicing the recitations and songs during the school day.
School dismisses at noon this Friday for Teacher Collaboration Day. There will be no hot lunch, but homeroom will be open from noon-6:00 PM.
The Children’s Christmas Program is Saturday, December 20 at 5:30 and 7:00 PM. The students will be participating at both of these times. There will be a practice for the program on Saturday, December 20 from 9:00-11:30 AM. The students are expected to be at this practice. Thank you!
The 5th grade will be having the class Christmas party on the afternoon of Thurs., Dec. 18. The students will exchange gifts among each other. We will not exchange names but will play a game to distribute the gifts. Please be sure to label whom the gift is from so the students can thank each other. The girls should bring a gift for a girl and the boys should bring a gift for a boy. Please limit gifts to $5. We will have some snacks for our party. Please let me know if you are willing to bring a treat to share with the class. Thanks!
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Have a wonderful week!
