5th Grade News!

Welcome to the 4th quarter! Report cards will be handed out this Friday. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

This week’s memory schedule is as follows:
Tuesday: Isaiah 53:6, 1st Petition
Thursday: Ephesians 1:7, 1st Petition
Friday: Hymn 127:1-2

This week’s spelling unit is 27. The pretest is on Monday and the final test is on Friday. The English review of prepositions will be on Monday and the test will be on Thursday. There will be a math test on Wednesday. This week we are finishing reading the novel The Sign of the Beaver. The test will be next Tuesday and we will be watching a DVD based on the book next week. This week the students will also finish typing their planet reports.

This week Tuesday we are going on a field trip to the Cantor Art Center at Stanford. Students need to bring a paper bag lunch that will be checked at the museum entrance. Drivers should meet at school at 9:45 AM. Thanks!

There are Lenten services this Wednesday evening at 5:00 and 7:00 PM. All students will sing in the Good Friday service on April 10 at 2:00 PM.

We are going on a field trip to the HP Pavilion on Tuesday, April 7. An informational note was sent home on Monday. Please return the permission form and money by Tuesday, March 31. Thanks!

The nonfiction book report is due Friday, April 11. Information concerning the project details was sent home last week.
