5th Grade News!
I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Weekend! We certainly thank God for all the brave men and women who serve our country.
This is the last week of memory recitations. The schedule for the week is as follows:
Tuesday – Communion Part 4 (see May calendar)
Thursday - #405, 407, 409
This week we are on spelling unit 34. The pretest is Tuesday and the final test is Friday. The students are taking a cumulative English test on Tuesday that reviews all the grammar skills they have learned throughout the year. All students will take a math test on Wednesday. The students are taking the test on the novel Holes on Tuesday. We will conclude by watching the movie based on the book this Thursday afternoon.
Notes were sent home last week concerning the pizza/yearbook signing party. All students are welcome to come to the party even if they did not purchase a yearbook. Students will need a party ticket to attend. Please return the $3 fee to Miss Tjernagel by Friday, May 30! Thanks.
Grades 5-6 are going to Raging Waters this Wednesday, May 28! There are still three tickets left for 5th grade parents who wish to drive and chaperone. Please let me know on Tuesday if you are interested in joining us for the fun! : )
This Wednesday at 3:15 there will be a hot lunch company at school. Parents are welcome to come and sample the food from the company.
All students in grades 1-8 sing for the Graduation/Closing Service on Thursday, June 5 at 7:00 PM. This is the last singing opportunity for this school year.
Have a great week!
