It was great to see so many of you at the Social Studies Fair on Friday evening. The students did some wonderful work on their various projects! What talents the Lord has given to them. All students should please take their projects home. Thanks.

This week’s spelling is unit 19. The pretest is on Monday and the final test is on Friday. The students took a math test on Monday. We are finishing the science unit on Earth’s Weather this week. We will review on Tuesday and Thursday and take the test next Monday, February 4.

This Friday school dismisses at noon for Teacher Collaboration Day. There will be no hot lunch on Friday.

2^nd Quarter report cards were sent home with your child last Friday. Please sign the envelope and return to school by Friday, February 1. Thanks much.

The 5^th grade animal book report is due Friday, February 8. Please let me know if you need another informational sheet explaining the project.

The 5^th grade class will be taking a field trip in April to see the musical Pinocchio.

This week’s spelling is review unit 18. The words are taken from units 13-17. The pretest is Tuesday and the final test is Friday.

This week Wednesday the 5^th grade will take an English test. We will also be working to finish our character sketches. There is no math test this week. The next math test will be Monday, January 28. We will begin reading the novel Search for the Shadowman in reading class this week. We also begin a new science chapter on Earth’s Weather.

The Social Studies Fair is this Friday evening from 6-8 PM. The 5^th grade projects will be set up in the church narthex. If you have any questions please feel free to talk with Mr. Stubalt. See you Friday evening!

This Thursday the students will have a Catechism review. The Catechism test will be next week Tuesday. This week’s spelling is unit 16. The pretest is on Monday and the final test is on Friday. This week the students begin working on writing a character sketch. All 5^th graders will take a math test on Wednesday. We have started a new unit in science on Earth and Space. Hopefully we will have some dry days for PE class – last week was a real soaker!

The Social Studies Fair is on Friday, January 25. The Open House is from 6-8 PM. If you have any questions please feel free to ask Mr. Stubalt or Mr. Fillner.

The 5^th graders will be starting to work on their next book report project. The book report will be due on Friday, February 8. Each student should choose a book that has an animal as a main character or where an animal is the main focus of the story. All students need to bring the book to school for approval by next Monday, January 14! The project details will be sent home next week Monday.

January book orders were sent home on Monday. All order forms and payment are due by Monday, January 14.
