I hope you were able to spend some time relaxing outdoors this weekend. I am really enjoying the beautiful spring weather we are having – it sure beats slush and snow at this time of the year!
This week’s memory schedule is as follows:
Tuesday: baptism (see April calendar), #377
Thursday: baptism (see April calendar)
Friday: Ascension recitation (sent home Monday)
This week’s spelling is unit 29. The pretest is Monday and the final test Friday. There will be no math test this week. The students are really seeming to enjoy the book Holes by Louis Sachar. We will plan to watch the movie based on the book when we have finished reading the novel. We will be finishing our science chapter this week and will have a test on Mon., April 28.
The practice track meet is this Wednesday morning at Cahalan Park. Volunteers are still needed to help run some events. If you can help in this area please let Mr. Washburn or me know. Thanks so much!!!
This Friday is Collaboration Day. School dismisses at noon, so there will be no hot lunch.
The track meet in Sacramento is Monday, May 5. Permission slips and money are due Monday, April 21!
Grades K-8 sing in the Ascension Service on Thursday,
May 1 at 7:00 PM. Class recitations were sent home on Monday with your child. Plan to join us for this special service!

Congratulations to Christian and Lia who participated in the spelling bee in Belmont this past Saturday. Lia took 1st place for the 5th grade!
Due to the cold/allergy/flu season we are running short of Kleenex boxes and will not have enough to finish the school year. We could use about ten boxes. If you are able to supply a box for the classroom it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much!
