Happy Thanksgiving! May you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and enjoy God’s blessings of family, friends, food, and fun. May we all be reminded to live each day as a day of ‘Thanks-living’ to the Lord!

This is a shortened school week due to the Thanksgiving break. School will dismiss at noon on Wednesday. I’ll see you again on Monday, November 26. We will be busy for those three weeks preparing for the Children’s Christmas Service on December 15 at 5:30 and 7:00 PM.

The students have memory passages #78, 90, and 91 to recite on Tuesday. There will be no spelling unit this week. All 5th grade students will take a math test on Wednesday. The students did a great job with the tall tale stories. They were very fun to read! We are now beginning to work on a persuasive letter. The science review will be this Monday, and the test on chapter 4 lessons 1-4 will be on Tuesday.

The Scholastic Book Fair was a huge success! Thank you for all the wonderful book donations for the classroom. They are very much appreciated by the students and myself and will be put to great use!

The Scholastic book orders are due Wednesday, November 21. All order forms and payment should be returned to Miss Tjernagel. These orders will arrive before the Christmas vacation begins.

The accreditation visit went well last week Tuesday. If you would like to read more about the accreditation process you can check out the various sites on Mr. Luehring’s page.

‘Tis the season! With the various illnesses around, please be sure to call the school to let us know if your child will be absent. Thanks much!
